Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, was recognized for its sustainable development efforts by two major international ratings.
For the third consecutive year, the climate change strategy of Schneider Electric is acknowledged by the CDP “Global Climate 500 Performance Leadership index".
For the 2013 edition, the Group was selected in both indexes of the CDP. Firstly, for its actions in reducing its environmental impact. Schneider Electric has reached an ‘A band’ in the Carbon Performance Leadership index, highlight its efforts to reduce its environmental footprint.
Besides, Schneider Electric integrates also the "Climate Disclosure Leadership Index" with a score of 97/100. This index evaluates firms based on the exhaustivity and quality of information they provide about their climate change efforts.
In addition, the Group was selected in the "Dow Jones Sustainability Index". This index aims at evaluating the performance of sustainable development classified as "S&P Global Broad Market Index SM" world's largest companies. Its involvement was recognized in two Indexes: World and Europe.
The presence of Schneider Electric in these two global indexes is recognition of its commitment to sustainability, led by its Planet & Society Barometer performance dashboard since 2005.
