Nuon enlarged the charging capacity at Amsterdam's most popular charging point

At the popular public charging points for electric transport in Amsterdam Nuon (in collaboration with Heijmans) installed a second charging point . The most common public charging point of Amsterdam is at the Julianaplein near the Amstel railway station. From now on four electric cars can be charged in parallel.

Every day this charging point charged almost 50 kilowatt hours (kWh). This is good for about 300 kilometers electric drive. Monthly there are about 220 charging sessions at this point, approximately 7 a day. With additional charging points this onlywill become more.

The growth of the charging network increases rapidly. In 2013 Nuon will install more additional public charging points in Amsterdam. For the moment there are over 1,000 charging points in Amsterdam, 500 of them owned by Nuon. In the coming years Nuon expects a significant increase of electric charging, as more and more electric cars will come on the market.
