Aidon integrates AMM with Distribution Management System for low-voltage network management

Aidon, a European technology company specialising in smart metering and smart grid applications demonstrates how Aidon's next-generation metering system (AMM) and Aidon energy service devices can be used in low-voltage network management.

In low-voltage networks, many times the only way to evaluate the network status is to use customer feedback and information from medium-voltage network. Now a comprehensive snapshot of low-voltage network can be obtained in distribution management system (DMS).

The new energy service device from Aidon can monitor continuously the condition and quality of low-voltage network. It sends an immediate alarm in case of fault situations, such as phase dropouts, overvoltage or undervoltage, 0-wire failure or fuse fire. The problem can be located accurately and repaired immediately, reducing the number of customer calls, saving working hours and speeding up customer service.

Aidon energy service devices have this feature built-in, and it can be applied simply via automatic software update over the air. Many of our Finnish utility customers have the feature in operation already today. Aidon's reading system integrates with the systems of the of the largest DMS suppliers.
