ONE Nordic wins major order from E.ON Elnät that secures electricity supplies in Kalmar, Kristianstad and Falkenberg municipalities

ONE Nordic AB has won a major order from E.ON Elnät for work on transformer stations in Ullared, Vassmolösa and Arkelstorp. These facilities, which will be ready to start running at the end of 2012, have a total order value of approximately 35 million SEK. The contract involves ONE Nordic AB helping E.ON Elnät to modernise and renew its transformer stations in Vassmolösa, Arkelstorp and Ullared; this will secure E.ON’s electricity supplies in Kalmar, Kristianstad and Falkenberg municipalities.

E.ON Elnät Sverige, a subsidiary of E.ON Sverige, is responsible for supplying electricity to about one million end-users. The existing transformer stations in Ullared (Falkenberg Municipality), Vassmolösa (Kalmar Municipality) and Arkelstorp (Kristianstad Municipality) are in need of modernisation to meet new reliability requirements. This is where ONE Nordic AB steps in. ONE Nordic AB is at the cutting edge when it comes to working with modern advanced technology that meets today’s reliability requirements. ONE Nordic will be helping E.ON Elnät to rebuild the existing 50 kW transformer stations in Ullared and Vassmolösa, as well as the 130kW station in Arkelstorp. Old equipment will be replaced by new modern equipment. ONE Nordic AB will also be installing new switchgear to replace existing switchgear at all three sites.

“Besides guaranteeing energy distribution in Kalmar and Kristianstad municipalities, the stations in Vassmolösa and Arkelstorp are also being rebuilt to be able to feed in electricity generated by wind power. In Falkenberg municipality and especially in Ullared it is particularly important to secure the electricity supply because of the intense commercial activity in the area. The superstore is dependent on reliable electricity distribution and E.ON Elnät’s delivery capacity” says Magnus Liljekvist, Station Manager at E.ON Elnät.

“It is very inspiring to be entrusted once again with the task of providing our expertise in the modernisation of E.ON’s electricity distribution network. The need for renewal on the market is huge: many energy facilities were built back in the 1950s and 60s and are in desperate need of renovation and upgrading. At ONE Nordic AB we talk about The New Energy Society and the role we can play in order to meet accelerating infrastructure needs for energy distribution and use,” explains Jan Bardell, CEO of the ONE Nordic Group.
