Eltel secures a long term contract with Swedish Aviation Authority

Eltel Network Infranet AB, Division Homeland Security and Aviation (HS&A) signed a new Framework Agreement with LFV regarding operations and maintenance services for the operational air traffic control systems (ANS equipment) and the surrounding systems, networks, and consulting services. The framework agreement is valued at approximately SEK 500 million and runs for 5 years beginning January 1, 2013, with an option for an additional 3 years.

The contract was won in a competition, and Eltel will be responsible for “Technical maintenance of air traffic services” under this agreement. This includes such things as systems for navigation, communications, information, and monitoring, as well as network and system equipment. The task is nationwide and covers all LFV facilities with the equipment named.
LFV Director-General Thomas Allard commented: “Air traffic is one of the critical lifelines of our society. With Eltel, we have found a partner who can effectively take charge of maintaining our critical systems. Eltel technicians are well-trained and certified; their geographical proximity across Sweden guarantees good local support for us.

“LFV has long been a loyal customer of ours, and we greatly appreciate the continued trust they show us. Through this agreement, we can continue to provide LFV with high-quality services,” said Casimir Lindholm, CEO of Eltel Sweden.
Division Head Thorbjörn Sagner commented further: “It is with great pleasure and pride that we accept this renewed trust from LFV. It is also quite stimulating, and a confirmation that our efforts in efficiency, quality, and competence in the field of air travel are completely correct.”
