Green Energy Options Ltd, Awarded 3rd prize in UKTI’s ‘Exporting for Growth’ competition

In January GEO entered the UKTI competition ‘Exporting for Growth’, sponsored by HSBC Bank plc and PwC. The East of England regional final was held yesterday evening, 28 March, at Homerton College in Cambridge where Rachel Bennett pitched GEO’s innovative export concept ‘Trial in a Box’ and GEO was awarded 3rd prize. 12 companies were in the final and each presented a 4 minutes long pitch and the 3 finalists underwent 10 minutes of vigorous Questions and Answers from the judges.

“GEO is delighted to receive 3rd prize and achieve recognition for our ‘Trial in a Box’ export innovation. We are confident that our In-Home Displays, Online and Mobile Energy Services technology will play a very important role in helping people understand and engage in their energy consumption, which in turn will assist in cutting down on CO2  and making energy usage visible to the wider international domestic market”, said Rachel Bennett, VP Smart Metering at GEO. She added: “Our prize from UKTI of support services into new markets, will enable us to enter additional new territories faster and help to generate economic growth and new highly-skilled UK based jobs to support our exports.”
