ESNA co-operation partner in CONNECTIONS Europe; Monetizing the Digital Home

On November 13 and 14th ESNA will organise, in cooperation with Parks Associates,  the Connections Europe Event in Amsterdam.
Apart from high‐level analysis and consumer research and information on emerging connected home services and technologies. This conference we will bring together, on one hand the Telecom and Cable providers and on the other hand the Utilities and Grid providers with one common subject:

The Connected Home or Smart Home

The fact that I have to use both terms means that there are 2 different principal approaches:

    •    The Telecom and Cable providers mainly look for their added value in communication and infotainment content.
    •    The Utilities and Cable providers mainly try to develop added value services around energy saving, comfort and security.

Both parties are trying to win the customer's preference but both with half the solution.

The consumer wants both types of added value services, compatible and interoperable and for sure without any technical problems before and during operation.
So she or he wants to buy the guarantee for these services from one hand

During this event ESNA and it members, Utilities and Solution providers, will show practical and complete added value propositions for Smart Home Systems in co-operation with Telecom and Cable providers.

You will see that such propositions are beneficial for all stakeholders; Telecoms, Cable providers, Utilities alike, and above all beneficial for the consumer who will have an complete offer from infotainment up to and including energy-management.

Such complete and integrated Smart / Connected Home Systems are now possible due to OSGP, the Open Smart Grid Protocol, which has been approved by ETSI, the European Standardisation body for Telecom- and IT-systems, in January this year.
