Telvent Chosen as Echelon’s Smart Grid Partner of the Year and Top Performer
Company took top honors among eight outstanding achievement awards to Echelon’s smart grid partners
Telvent GIT, S.A. was selected as Echelon Corporation’s partner of the year and top performer at its Smart Energy Conference held on June 12-15 in Budapest, Hungary. Telvent was awarded the top honor among eight outstanding achievement awards.
The awards were founded to recognize achievements by Echelon’s top smart grid partners in the areas of sales and commitment to customer excellence. The awards also recognize key development partners that, together with Echelon, offer complete turn-key energy control networking solutions for smart grid, smart city and smart building applications.
In this long-standing partnership, Telvent’s Titanium smart energy services platform, builds upon the features in Echelon’s metering platform and devices. This combination of Echelon’s hardware and Telvent’s proven technologies offers utilities a best-in-class solution for operating an advanced power grid. This partnership greatly benefits utilities that are continually looking for ways in which they can operate their power grid more efficiently and securely by ensuring efficient energy demand response during peak demand times.

Telvent has partnered with Echelon for more than 10 years. Currently, Telvent has ongoing projects using Echelon’s technology that will continue for the next nine years. Projects include the installation of more than 600,000 meters in Vattenfall, Sweden, a 550,000 meter rollout currently underway in Fortum, Finland and a project to install 100,000 meters in Fortum's network in Norway.
