Telvent GIT, S.A. announced that Carolina Gas Transmission Corporation (CGT) has chosen Telvent to provide an advanced-technology network information management solution. The real-time network data made available by Telvent to CGT operations and business processes, enhances transportation and delivery of natural gas to CGT customers, improves network security and supports compliance with pending regulatory requirements.
Carolina Gas Transmission Corporation, a SCANA company, is an interstate natural gas transportation company that delivers natural gas to wholesale and direct industrial customers in the southeastern United States. In 2010, CGT was recognized as the #1 pipeline in North America for customer satisfaction and intends to utilize the Telvent system to further enhance service to its customers. It is implementing Telvent’s real-time supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system fully integrated with Telvent’s advanced Gas Suite applications for measurement and analysis, load forecasting, gas quality management as well as other vital operational functions.
